My landlord called, and he said my energy bill is going to go up because of the energy price cap.
Huh?? I don’t feel very satisfied with the prices.
New customer satisfaction figures for UK energy suppliers are in, and the results are… mixed. According to the latest survey, many customers are still struggling with high energy bills and poor service, leaving them frustrated with their providers. While some companies have improved, overall satisfaction levels suggest there’s still a long way to go.
Energy UK, the trade body representing suppliers, responded by highlighting efforts to support customers, including flexible payment plans, extra help for vulnerable households, and improved customer service. They acknowledged that trust in the sector is still low, especially after the energy crisis caused prices to skyrocket in recent years.
One big issue is how companies communicate with their customers. Many people feel left in the dark about pricing, tariffs, and support options, leading to confusion and stress. With energy prices still a major concern, customers want clear information and better service—not just apologies.
So, what’s the solution? More transparency, better communication, and perhaps even alternative energy options. Portable power solutions, such as solar panels and battery storage, are gaining interest as people look for ways to reduce reliance on traditional suppliers. With growing concerns about price volatility and service quality, could self-sufficient energy solutions be the future?
The energy industry has work to do, but with pressure mounting from both customers and regulators, real change could be on the horizon. Hopefully, the next set of satisfaction figures will bring better news.
