But where are the STEM girlies??

We’re constantly hearing about Finance and Tech bros and what it means to thrive in STEM from a male perspective. This is all great, but I want to hear about more women.

Among trailblazing women, Kirsty Gogan leads in nuclear advocacy, and Dr. Katharine Wilkinson champions sustainable climate practices. In solar energy, Dr. Olga Malinkiewicz has developed perovskite solar cells, a ground breaking technology that makes solar energy cheaper and more adaptable.

I’m going to veer “off topic” for a second but it’s related I promise. Let me cook…

Women in the UK were first granted the right to vote in 1918 through the Representation of the People Act. It wasn’t until 1928, with the Equal Franchise Act, that women gained equal voting rights with men, allowing all women over the age of 21 to vote, regardless of property ownership.

Now, I would urge you to take a second and step away from the “What a man can do a woman can do better” and the “Women are better than men” rhetoric and look at It this way. The more, the merrier. When we choose to diversify our pool of knowledge it enhances creativity and improves decision-making. Research has shown that gender-diverse teams contribute significantly to solving complex climate issues through varied approaches and perspectives (IRENA, 2019).

In renewable energy, women leaders are making transformative strides in an industry that has traditionally lacked gender diversity. Their influence highlights the power of diverse perspectives and innovative thinking, reshaping energy solutions for a more sustainable future.

Now to get a little closer to the point, as a company, we are committed to providing sustainably powered solutions through products like the Jackery Explorer 1000 Pro Portable Power Station, the Jackery Explorer 240 v2, the BLUETTI AC200P L Expandable Power Station and many other portable power solutions you can check out here

FURTHER, our dedication to sustainability is matched by our support for gender equality, reflected in our gender-balanced workforce, which maintains a roughly 50/50 male-to-female ratio. By combining eco-friendly innovation with a diverse, inclusive team, we aim to lead as a responsible company supporting both environmental and social progress.

Women leaders encourage the next generation to pursue STEM and environmental roles, supported by mentorship programs. This community investment ensures that diverse perspectives will continue to influence and innovate energy solutions worldwide.

Challenges like workplace bias remain, yet progress is evident. We contribute to accessible, renewable solutions, supporting female-led environmental efforts and building a foundation for inclusive, sustainable energy.

This is where the STEM girlies are. It’s you, me, and all those who make space for women in sustainability and climate action.

Literally go forth and be the change lol!
